These are various poems I wrote recently.
Winter Morn

Crisp morning air hits
my face
As my skin smarts from the cold
The chill goes through my clothes
Just like frost biting the grass.
I shiver and pull my hood over my head
Then I curse the winter.
Cat

A soft furry body warms my lap
As faint purrs sing a song of contentment
Bright happy yellow eyes look at me with love
And I can't help but smile as I hug her
And return her song
With sweet praises.
The Beta

The morning light is now bright
And the Beta is awake.
She rapidly moves back and forth in her tank
Anxiously awaits her food.
As though she is trying to shout
"Feed me! Feed me!"
If only she could talk,
So her human would not have to guess her words.
Her human drops the tiny pellets of food into her little home.
Quickly the small beta attacks the food.
After devouring her meal
She quietly watches human life
From the safety of her tank,
Just as humans occasionally peer into her house
To get a glimpse of her life.
My Black Cat

My black cat sits on my lap
Her little furry face with its loving look
So sweet and gentle
She looks at me adorningly
Her big yellow orbs are filled with love
Staring at me as she softly purrs in my arms
She is a soft black meowing fur ball
The sweet six year old loves me and I love her
